Bikes I've Ridden respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the site may collect, how it is used, and what choices you have.
When you create or use an account, the site may collect account information such as your username, email address, and password hash. The site may also store information you choose to add about motorcycles, including descriptions, dates, ownership status, notes, and uploaded photos.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, the site may receive basic identity information from that provider, such as a provider-specific account identifier, your name, email address, and whether the provider reports that email address as verified. The site uses the provider-specific identifier to link your external login to your Bikes I've Ridden account.
Information is used to operate the site, authenticate users, maintain account security, display motorcycle entries, support password recovery, link external sign-in methods, and administer the site.
Local account passwords are stored as password hashes rather than plain-text passwords. External sign-in providers such as Google or Facebook authenticate you on their own systems; Bikes I've Ridden does not receive your Google or Facebook password.
Motorcycle photos and other content you upload may be stored on the site's web server and displayed as part of the site's motorcycle records, subject to the site's access controls.
Bikes I've Ridden does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by hosting, email, authentication, or other technical service providers only as needed to operate the site. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect the security of the site and its users.
The site uses session cookies and similar technical mechanisms to keep users logged in, protect forms, and help prevent unauthorized access.
If you use Google or Facebook Sign-In, your use of those services is also subject to the privacy policies and terms of the respective provider. You may unlink an external sign-in method or request deletion of associated account data by contacting the site administrator.
Account and motorcycle information is generally retained while your account remains active or as needed to operate the site. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data using the instructions on the Data Deletion page.
You may choose not to use Google or Facebook Sign-In and instead use the site's local username and password login. You may also request correction or deletion of personal information associated with your account.
For instructions on requesting deletion of your Bikes I've Ridden account and associated data, visit the Data Deletion page.
For privacy questions or requests, contact the Bikes I've Ridden site administrator through the contact method provided on the website.
Note: This policy describes the current operation of Bikes I've Ridden and may be updated as site features change.
